Tama Greenberg, now living in San Francisco, has been painting since childhood. Her passion for art was inspired by childhood visits to see the Abstract Expressionists at the Albright Knox Museum in Buffalo, New York.

Born and raised in Delaware, she was educated at Brown University, Cornell University, and Rhode Island School of Design, and has also studied at the University of Delaware, Delaware Art Museum, Pratt Institute (NY), School of Visual Art (NY), Minneapolis Institute of Art, Computer Art Institute (CA), EBA School of Art (CA), and Takeshi Nakayoshi Studio (CA).

Her work as a marketing professional brought her out to San Francisco in l983. Her daytime occupation serves to support her real passion, art.

She works in many media: paintings on canvas and paper, drawings, monoprints, and mixed media. She is a veteran of numerous shows in Rhode Island, Delaware, San Francisco Bay Area, and even Osaka, Japan, and is represented in many private collections.

Tama's work is a product of an artistic spirit that must express itself. As you look at her work, you can sense the intensity of the person and the pleasure she gets from creating art.
